I won a discounted box of biccies in M&S’ 12 Days of Christmas advent, but it ended up COSTING me… I’m so annoyed

A WOMAN has been left fuming after driving to pick up a box of M&S biscuits with a 20% discount, only to find the trip actually ended up costing her even more.

As part of the store's 12 Days of Christmas advent countdown, people have been winning all sorts of things - from free tree decorations to money off jumpers and nuts.

But one woman ended up paying a load more than she wanted after heading to the store to take advantage of her biscuit discount.

She took to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook to share a word of warning, after also discovering that the discount only applied to one box of biscuits.

"Read correctly and check terms and conditions and don't be fooled like I was," Jayne wrote.

"This is only valid for 'A' box of biscuits not multiple boxes as I wrongly assumed.

"I didn't save anything as it made me go in to the next hour car parking too!"

People were quick to comment on the post, with one writing: "Why would you think it meant multiple boxes when it literally says A biscuit carton and that it’s a single use voucher?"

"It says a box," another sighed.

"It clearly says SINGLE USE OFFER in bold writing," a third commented.

To those people, Jayne then added an edit on her post, writing: "I DID buy them all in one transaction but only one was discounted, seems there are other offers out there.

"Well done to all those that correctly knew it would only be one carton- I didn't and wanted to make others aware !!!!!

"MERRY CHRISTMAS!"

Meanwhile, others insisted the discount isn't even worth having if it's only on one box.

"I got caught doing this too," one wrote.

"Figured jt was as many as you bought in a single transaction!

"Spent £30, saved £1.10."

"Me too!" another added.

"I took 6 to the till only to be discounted £1.10 - decided against it.

"What a crock of s**t!"

"Bought 3 boxes yesterday and only got £1.10 discount," a third said.

"I made the same mistake last week buying biscuits for my boys teachers, was an expensive mistake," someone else admitted.
