M&S shoppers heartbroken after it discontinues popular dessert
M&S shoppers have been left devastated upon learning that a beloved dessert has been discontinued.
The product's axe was confirmed after a curious shopper took to social media to inquire about its whereabouts.
They said on X (formerly Twitter): "M&S please say Banana Caramel & Blond Chocolate cake isn't discontinued.
"It's like the Cereal Milk Clusters all over again.
"Why do the best things have to go."
In response, M&S employee Charley said: "I'm so sorry Shiver, but it does seem that we no longer sell this product.

"However, I've shared your comments with the Food team for them to review and consider bringing back in the future internally."
It's not the only item to have been axed by M&S in recent weeks.
The cake first launched in M&S Food halls back in 2021 and cost £7.
It contained banana cake topped and filled with caramelised blond chocolate ganache and salted caramel.
At the time of its launch shoppers raved about the find online.
One customer said on Facebook: "It tastes divine."
Another said: "Heaven".
M&S was contacted for comment.
Last month, the retailer confirmed that its Chilli Combo Mix snack was removed from shelves.
The Sweet Chilli Combo Mix was a selection of crispy potato and corn snacks - which came in the shape of tubes, wheels and flat crisps.
Fans deemed them the perfect sweet and spicy morsel to enjoy alongside a cold drink.
The posh supermarket also sells the Combo Mix in various other flavours - including Sour Cream and Jalapeno, Salt and Pepper and Four Cheese and Onion.
Plus, it has recently added a Barbecue flavour to the range.
A spokesperson told The Sun: "We are constantly reviewing, improving and refreshing our ranges across the Foodhall, reacting to the latest trends as well as customer feedback."
M&S recently announced it is stocking giant versions of two iconic British biscuits.
From Percy Pigs to the legend that is Colin the Caterpillar, the psh supermarket always knocks it out of the park when it comes to sweet treats.
The Giant Custard Creams and Bourbons were expected to evoke nostalgia in many shoppers, eager to relive fond memories of dipping them into cups of tea while visiting granny's house.

However, unlike the traditional biscuits, the new M&S products come without filling, and encourage shoppers to create their own ice cream sandwiches by adding their own ice cream.
The giant treats are available in the home baking section of M&S Food halls for £2.
