And it's brand new products are bound to fly off the shelves as soon as they hit stores.

The Giant Custard Creams and Bourbons will likely instil nostalgia in many shoppers, keen to bring back fond memories of dipping them in cups of tea while round at granny's house.

However, unlike the traditional biscuits, the new M&S products come without filling, and encourage shoppers to create their own ice cream sandwiches by adding their own ice cream.

Available in the home baking section of M&S Foodhalls, the tasty treats, which are priced at £2, are bound to be popular this weekend, as temperatures soar.

Announcing the exciting new product on Facebook, M&S said: "The sun is out, and schools are following close behind.

"For a bit of fun in this fabulous summer sun, head down to your local Foodhall to find that not one, but two of the nation’s favourite biscuits have gone LARGE, simply longing to be filled with a scoop, or two, of one of our delicious ice creams.

"Choose either: Giant rich, crunchy vanilla Custard Cream biscuit or giant rich, crunchy chocolatey Bourbon biscuit.

"Simply add layers of ice cream, sprinkles and even a touch of sauce, for a sensational treat, or why not use in trifles or a tiramisu."

Shoppers raced to the comments section of the post, to share their excitement over the new biscuits.

How to save money on your supermarket shop

THERE are plenty of ways to save on your grocery shop.

You can look out for yellow or red stickers on products, which show when they've been reduced.

If the food is fresh, you'll have to eat it quickly or freeze it for another time.

Making a list should also save you money, as you'll be less likely to make any rash purchases when you get to the supermarket.

Going own brand can be one easy way to save hundreds of pounds a year on your food bills too.

This means ditching "finest" or "luxury" products and instead going for "own" or value" type of lines.

Plenty of supermarkets run wonky veg and fruit schemes where you can get cheap prices if they're misshapen or imperfect.

For example, Lidl runs its Waste Not scheme, offering boxes of 5kg of fruit and vegetables for just £1.50.

If you're on a low income and a parent, you may be able to get up to £442 a year in Healthy Start vouchers to use at the supermarket too.

Plus, many councils offer supermarket vouchers as part of the Household Support Fund.

"Been to several stores today and no sign of them. Please say they’ve not been discontinued!!"

The Sweet Chilli Combo Mix was a selection of crispy potato and corn snacks - which came in the shape of tubes, wheels and flat crisps.

Fans deemed them the perfect sweet and spicy morsel to enjoy alongside a cold drink.

However, shoppers were horrified when M&S employee Simon replied: "It looks like we have discontinued this flavour, sorry about that."

Fortunately, M&S still sells the Combo Mix in a variety of other flavours, including Sour Cream and Jalapeno, Salt and Pepper and Four Cheese and Onion.

It has also recently added a Barbecue flavour to the range.
