I’m a savvy shopper and managed to bag cleaning products for FREE during my recent Tesco trip – here’s how
WITH the cost-of-living crisis causing prices to skyrocket, many homeowners are desperately trying to cut back costs wherever they can.
So it's little surprise one savvy shopper was delighted when she managed to nab three cleaning products for free during a recent visit to her local Tesco.
Deciding not to gatekeep her money-saving tip, Shona Robbie rushed online to Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK and shared a snap of her trolley piled high to the brim.
She could also be seen holding three receipts and penned: "Not sure if just random but I did see some left in the self scanners so a few obviously getting them.
"Paid for my shopping and out popped these three coupons with my receipt, so off I went back to get them totally free (Fairy Gel, Flash spray and Febreeze refills as seen behind).
"Every little helps so they say."

It wasn't long before the post garnered quite the reaction, racking up an impressive 336 likes and several comments from intrigued Tesco shoppers, all eager to know more.
"Self check out or did you go to a person who serves you?" asked one social media user.
Shona replied: "I did scan and shop."
A second asked: "How much do you spend to get them?"
The bargain hunter responded: "I spent £80 but I saw on another post they spent like £2 odd so really think it is random."
And Shona wasn't the only customer making the most of the coupons she received after paying for her shop.
Gabriela Sominka was also chuffed to receive the coupons and penned: "After scanning my shopping in Tesco today, got those 3 coupons! All 3 for free!!
She then proudly shared a snap of her Fairy Fresh in-wash scent booster, Febreeze bathroom in cotton fresh, and Flash multi-pawpose cleaner spray wipe which is "safe for homes with mucky pets."
Many were quick to praise the pair for making the most of the deals they received.
"Oh lucky!" wrote one.
A second noted: "I got a free Fairy, Flash & £4 off a £20 spend on clothing yesterday."
And a further added: "I got the Flash spray one today in my express Tesco."
