And one gardening whizz named Kia Jade has revealed a super handy hack that will help to protect your plants throughout the entire year.

And perhaps the best part of all? You only need one item.

In a clip shared to TikTok, she explains how all you need are mesh bags, which frequently come with jewellery.

They can be purchased from the likes of Amazon for as little as £2.29 for a box of 10, meaning they cost just 29p each.

She goes on to say how the bargain buy serves two different purposes - adding that if you're not using them, then you're "really missing out."

Firstly, she explains how they help to protect her vegetables from pests or beds.

Secondly, Kia continues: "If your plants are going to seed, i just put the mesh bags over the flowers, let them dry out and collect the seeds that way."

The gardening pro also points out that she'll continually reuse the mesh bags, meaning you don't need to fork out on replacing them every time.

It wasn't long before the video went viral, with over half a million views and many quick to praise the gardening hack, with one going so far as to say the tip left them "mind blown."
