England 2 Belgium 2: Jude Bellingham’s last-gasp leveller saves Gareth Southgate’s blushes after lacklustre display
JUDE BELLINGHAM salvaged a last-gasp draw for England as his stoppage-time strike earned a 2-2 draw.
The Aston Villa midfielder, 26, broke the deadlock in the 11th minute when a Jordan Pickford pass was intercepted and Tielemans' accurate effort wrong-footed him and rolled into the corner.
The Three Lions did not take long to level as Kobbie Mainoo and Jude Bellingham's brilliant link-up sent Ivan Toney through before he was brought down in the box by Jan Vertonghen.
Toney stepped up to dispatch the penalty for his first England goal, but Belgium were back in front before half-time.
Lewis Dunk was robbed of the ball by Romelu Lukaku and the ex-Chelsea man's wonderful cross found Tielemans who nodded home at the back post.
The strike came after Jarrod Bowen thought he had put England ahead with a close-range header, only for VAR to rule it out for offside.
