‘It looks amazing’ people claim as woman transforms plain hallway with £5 Ikea bargains
A WOMAN has revealed that she has transformed her plain hallway on a budget, leaving many open-mouthed.
So if your home needs some love, but you’re on a budget and haven’t got loads of cash to splash on a major renovation, you’ve come to the right place.
Billie, a cash-savvy DIY enthusiast from Sydney, took to social media to show off her impressive mirror hack, which she used with £5 Ikea bargains, proving that you don’t need to spend thousands of pounds to give your home a fresh, new feel.
The young woman gave her followers a before and after look at her apartment hallway’s makeover, as she penned: “Hallway before and after.”
What was originally just a plain hallway, with nothing but paint on the walls, was quickly transformed with not only a bold art piece and a black shoe storage, but also a statement mirror piece.
When asked about the mirror wall, Billie, who is known online as ‘Style With Billie’, confirmed: “It was a DIY but I got the frames and mirrors from Ikea.”

Then, in another video, Billie revealed the step by step process of creating her impressive mirror wall.
She wrote: “Ikea DIY mirror wall… what do you think? I’m a tad obsessed” and then explained: “Let’s do the Ikea DIY mirror wall.”
For those wanting to give this a try themselves, Billie advised: “You need 21 x 30cm mirror and frames [and] mounting tape, I used the gorilla range.”
She then demonstrated the step-by-step process, as she continued: “The most tedious part, placing all the mirrors in the frames.
“Then stick the mounting tape on all the corners and in the middle of the frames - always better for extra support.
“Start from the bottom and work your way up.
“Use a leveller to make sure your frames are straight.”
As she proudly showed off her creation, she asked: “And this is the final result. What do you think?”
Thanks to her statement mirror wall, Billie had quickly and easily transformed her hallway from drab to fab in no time.
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @stylewithbillie, has clearly impressed many, as it has quickly gone viral and has since amassed a staggering 1.3 million views.
Social media users were left stunned at Bilie’s DIY job and many were eager to express this in the comments.
One person said: “Before looked great. Didn’t think it could look any better but the after looks amazing!!”
