I’m a stay-at-home mum & make £7k a month from my couch with my side hustle…I get to spend so much time with my kid too
A WOMAN has revealed that she is a stay-at-home mum but is able to make over £7,000 a month, whilst barely leaving her couch.
Abigail Peugh explained that thanks to her side hustle, she rakes in thousands of pounds every month, but also has lots of free time to spend with her daughter too.
Posting online, Abigail shared a clip as she opened up about her UGC side hustle.
Opening up about her stream of income, she claimed: “UGC allows me to make $6k [£4.7k] -$10k [£7.8k] per month from home with my daughter.
“UGC has been the biggest game changer for me. As a shy/introverted creator, being an influencer just wasn't for me.
“So I went all in as a UGC creator, and it's the best.

“Free products, awesome money, work from anywhere in the world (mostly from my couch).”
She then explained: “This is how I make money from home as a stay-at-home mum and no it's not sketchy or scammy like affiliate marketing, dropshipping or any of that.
“I used to think that I wanted to be an influencer but if you are not new here then you know that I am a UGC creator.
“So UGC or User-Generated Content is where you create content for brands and they use it to run ads or to post on their social media accounts.
“You don't need any followers to do it - so I'm not posting anything to my own social media platforms, which also means that I don't have to have any followers to be this kind of content creator.
“So if you are a stay-at-home mum or a soon-to-be mum or you have a job and you're away from your kids and you really wanna be home with your kids - get into UGC or User-Generated content.
“It's incredible - you can do it from home and be with your babies while making really good money as a UGC creator.”
In another clip, Abigail went into further detail about UGC, as she explained: “This one's for all my girls out there who are wondering what the heck UGC is, why you're seeing it everywhere, and how you can get in on it too.

“I've actually been doing UGC for over five years now, before it was even called UGC and it's perfect for me because I'm introverted and I don't love to spend a ton of time on social media.
“So while I kind of always wanted to be an influencer, the time commitment to social media was way too much for me - and then I had a kid and it made it even worse.
“I went full time [with UGC] because I got fired from my job, but that's neither here nor there - I'm now a full time UGC creator. So let's talk about what it is.
The brand is purchasing the content from you, but you are never having to post it to your own page

“UGC stands for User-Generated Content, and it's where you're creating content for brands to post to their social media or run as paid ads.
“So you know when you're scrolling TikTok and you see a video that kind of looks like an influencer is just sharing about a product naturally, but then you see that it's a sponsored post - that's UGC.
“The brand is purchasing the content from you, but you are never having to post it to your own page.”
Abigail then claimed: “So you can be really good at creating content and you don't have to have any followers to do it.
“If you are a creator and you love being creative, you just don't wanna spend your whole life on social media, give UGC a chance. It's amazing.”
Abigail’s tips to ‘starting UGC from scratch’
Make sure you know how to create GOOD UGC content. Go to the TikTok creative center and find the best performing UGC ads and study them.
Build your UGC portfolio (you can do this for free on Canva)
Get on Linkedln and build it out with your UGC information. Post UGC concepts there. Engage with brands you eventually want to work with.
Get an Upwork account and start searching for UGC jobs.
Start getting emails from IG accounts, THEN pitch to companies directly via email.
Focus on retainer clients so you aren't pitching all the time.
