A STAY-AT-HOME mum has revealed a side hustle that makes her hundreds of pounds a week.

Brenda Carillo shared details of her side hustle via a series of videos posted to her TikTok channel @brendaaacarrillo.

She often uses the account to share details of her small business and has racked up over 20,000 followers on the video sharing platform.

Brenda revealed that she bakes cakes and sells them to make some extra cash alongside caring for her children.

Sharing videos of her cakes, she shared that she makes iced cakes and other tasty treats for birthdays, weddings and other celebrations.

Brenda said that she makes the cakes in bulk every Tuesday and then freezes them to save time.

She then takes them out of the freezer the night before a customer is coming to pick the cake up and ices them whilst her children are sleeping.

Brenda revealed that she doesn't deliver any of the cakes herself so that she has more time to spend with her kids.

Another time saving tip she uses is buying ready mixed cake boxes in bulk from Amazon instead of using all fresh ingredients.

"Do you disclose to customers that you use box cake mix?", one person asked in the comments section.

"No, I don’t but I haven’t had any complaints", Brenda replied.

Brenda shared how much money she makes from her side hustle.

In one week, she made £445, charging between £27 and £50 for each of her cakes.

Brenda revealed that she promotes her business on social media sites such as Instagram and Facebook Marketplace.

The mum also shares recipes and tips online to help out other mums who want to try out the side hustles.

Brenda's videos have clearly left many people impressed, as they have each racked up 10s of thousands of views.

TikTok users raced to the comments sections of Brenda's videos to share their thoughts on her side hustle.
