Yet some of Love Island's loyal fans aren't convinced it's genuine, suggesting the bad blood has been fabricated in an attempt to secure the spotlight after the recent All Stars series.

It came after we exclusively reported how Tyrique Hyde, 24, and model Ella Thomas, 23, had called it quits.

The pair briefly split back in November before patching things up, yet this bump in the road could spell an end to the pair.

One sceptical fan was quick to take to Reddit to put: "Ty and Ella did this for publicity or to mess with the fans and it worked."

A second added: "Y’all think Ty and Ella are broken up? They are trolling, all post are back up. Atp they need to break up it’s unhealthy for them and the fans."

A third mused: "I’m convinced Molly & Callum were getting too much attention so Ty & Ella made this up to bring the attention back on them," as one agreed: "I second this.

"They did the same thing in November during LIG, and they will do it again in the summer season."

The latter comments referred to the fact that Tom Clare and Molly Smith are the talk of telly fans following their recent All Stars triumph and £50K win.

Earlier this month, a source close to the couple told The Sun: "They have tried really hard but just been having constant arguments.

"At the end of day they want different things and it's too hard to make it work.

"They are saying it's over for good this time and there is no going back."

The Sun has since contacted reps for both Ella and Tyrique.

The duo reached the final of last year's series.

Yet now, in a sure-fire social media snub, Ella has wiped all snaps of her and Tyrique bar two showing the pair together.

He has since broken his silence on the break-up, taking a swipe at his villa ex.

The footballer took to social media to upload a photo showing a carton of milk with the phrase: "don't cry over spilt milk".

The post also captured images of him in a recording studio and having a new tattoo.

"Never let a hard time humble us," Tyrique cryptically wrote in the caption.

Meanwhile, it came just weeks after he had splashed out on a lavish Valentine's Day celebration for the Scot.
