Four easy and cheap hacks to help revive and soothe tired winter feet
FEET can suffer in winter, as the change from the cold weather outside to heating indoors takes its toll.
But you don’t need to buy fancy creams and treatments.
Just follow these low-cost or free methods . . .
AVO GO: Avocado is packed with essential oils, vitamins and minerals and is a pick-me-up for dry feet.
There are a few ways to maximise the benefits.
You can make a mask with the mashed flesh of one banana and half an avocado.

Apply it after soaking your feet in warm water for 15 minutes and leave on for half an hour before rinsing in warm water.
You can also add instant moisture, and have a salad at the same time, by wiping the empty shells of an avocado over your heels.
OIL HAIL: Raid your kitchen cupboard for coconut oil or vegetable oil, which is even cheaper.
Massage into clean, dry feet then pop on a pair of socks to stop you slipping.
This is a great bedtime treatment and you can wash off the oil in the shower in the morning.
Coconut oil has the extra benefit of antibacterial properties.
BEST BUFFERS: There is a huge selection of files and buffers to get rid of dry skin on feet.
Luckily, some of the most effective ones are not expensive.
Pumice stone is a natural exfoliator and gentle enough to use every day, followed by a moisturiser.
You can get one for 50p at thesoappeople.co.uk, plus postage, or Boots has a stone on a rope for £2.
To use, soften your feet in warm water, wet the pumice stone then rub over the feet in a circular motion.
Once done, rinse or ideally scrub the stone before leaving to dry.
GOOD DEAL OF HELP: Look for deals on foot care.
You can buy three treats for your feet for the price of two at Superdrug, so you could get a scrub, moisturiser and mask.
