‘That would be my dream job’ say people after woman tells what Primark late shifts look like – but not everyone’s raving

A PRIMARK employee has left people totally divided after sharing what an average night shift at the store looks like.

We all love Primark for their affordable homeware and fashion - but have you ever wondered what it's like for those working there?

Well, if you're considering applying for a role at the store, one Primark employee has taken to TikTok to spill the beans of what you can expect working during the late hours.

According to fashionista Carla, the shift starts at 10pm when customers have finally left the high street retailer - and although there are no shoppers to interact with, Carla still has to wear their signature blue uniform.

During the shift, the young employee will have to tackle a number of boxes, sorting out the goodies inside these, as well as stocking the tills with the smaller buys you can nab whilst shopping.

Once Carla's finished with this task, she then moves onto the home section - the process she described as ''fun''.

Just a few hours later, the staff member can finally take her first break - and to ensure she gets through the shift, Carla will typically down an energy drink.

''Need to stop drinking Red Bull at work,'' she chuckled in the video, sharing a snap of herself at 01.30am.

Next, a little later, it was time for her lunch break at 03.30am, which consisted of a can of Coca Cola, as well as a couple of snacks.

After some cleaning and the last few touches, Carla took her final break at 6am, where she treated herself to some sugary doughnuts.

''Needed some energy, was absolutely shattered,'' the employee noted, before heading back to her bed at 7.30am after a long shift of over eight hours of work.

''Back in tomorrow, same thing next week.''

But whilst some reckoned this was their ''dream job'' as there was no interaction with customers, not everyone will be racing to apply for the position.

One former worker said: ''I used to do this shift schedule I couldn’t survive, I only lasted two weeks.''

Another reckoned: ''That’s some long hours, hope you're getting your rest in.''

''I worked nights, worst thing ever after a while, so tiring,'' someone else shared their experience.

''Nightshift is not for the weak, switched back to days real quick,'' a fourth penned.

However, for others, the role was perfect, as one said: ''I wanna do this, Primark without the people.''

''That would be my dream job, without customers,'' another admitted.
