I had a shoestring budget wedding – my dress was £13 from Vinted and my bouquet was picked up in my local supermarket

A BRIDE who lives a “Mamma Mia kind of life” has revealed how she pulled off her wedding with a shoestring budget.

Rhianna spent just £1,500 on the whole day - including a £13 wedding dress from second-hand site Vinted and making her own bouquet from supermarket flowers.

The beautiful bride, who said “I do” last summer, believes “things just don’t need to be fussy when you’re in love”.

She has since shared exactly how she kept her nuptial costs down.

Rhianna’s special white dress was a £13 Vinted find, which she paired with cheap supermarket flowers for a colourful bouquet.

She and her husband walked between the church and the reception marquee with their guests, saving hundreds on car hires.

What’s more, they only hosted 15 guests and laid out a buffet for their wedding breakfast.

Rhianna’s sister made them a simple Victoria sponge cake for the grand cutting, and then everyone spent the evening sitting around a campfire with hot dogs and sparklers.

The bride dropped the details of her big day on TikTok, sparking a flurry of praise and appreciation for its simplicity.

“A real wedding with only the people you love most,” Amy Radcliffe commented.

“Simple and beautiful.”

Others said the day “looked magical” and said it’s their “type of wedding day”.

“I think that’s the best wedding I've ever seen,” one viewer penned. “Especially as a man.

“It’s amazing to see not everyone is blind to the beauty in simplicity and family.”

“This looks so wholesome and beautiful,” Jessica Owen echoed.

The average wedding cost couples £20,700 in 2023, according to Hitched.

But with the cost of living crisis pinching Britons’ purses, more are turning to intimate and simple nuptials to save money.

Last year, nearly-weds dealt with the rising costs of living in a few different ways.

Almost a third of couples increased their budget at least once whilst planning, whilst a quarter incorporated more DIY than they originally planned to.
