Royal updates — Endgame’s Omid Scobie to appear on This Morning as family members at centre of ‘racism’ storm named

  • Omid Scobie DENIES ‘naming Royal Family member as racist’ in Endgame

Omid Scobie has denied "naming Royal Family as racist" in his book Endgame.

Scobie said there has "never" been a version of Endgame that "has names in it".

It appears the book named a Royal in error and was not naming the person Meghan claimed was the racist. It is understood to be a mistranslation and lawyers are involved.

  • What has Omid Scobie said in his book Endgame?

Scobie makes several claims about the Royal Family in his book Endgame.

He alleges that Meghan and Kate Middleton have not spoken for four years, with their last communication being in 2019.

That was the same year that Meghan and Harry left for Canada, though they now live in California.

Scobie also takes a swipe at Kate, stating she is scared to do anything but "grinning photo ops".

He also suggests her accomplishments have been exaggerated, saying: "The small achievements that we've seen from the Princess of Wales wouldn't perhaps be noticed if it was from another member of the Royal Family, but with Kate it's like 'wow!'"

  • Who is Omid Scobie?

Omid Scobie was born in July 1981, in Wales, before later relocating to Oxford.

He studied at the prestigious fee-paying Magdalen College School - whose alumni includes Skyfall director Sam Mendes

He then went to state sixth form Cherwell School before studying journalism at the London College of Communication.
