‘Judges need to get their eyes tested’ rant Britain’s Got Talent fans as they claim star act ‘was robbed’

BRITAIN'S Got Talent fans have said that the 'judges need to get their eyes tested' after claiming that a star act 'was robbed' last night.

Wednesday's semi-final of this year's ITV show saw singer Sydnie and impressionist singer Mike get through to the final this Sunday.

Sydnie recieved the most amount of votes so was put through to the next stage automatically.

This meant that judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli had to pick between Mike and Leightonjay Halliday.

Their vote went into deadlock so the decision was made from the public vote - and Leightonjay had the least votes.

Fans were devastated the dancer was sent home.

One wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: "@antanddec ahh I loved Leighton. He needs to come back as a wild card or something #BGT."

Another added: "Not Mike Woodhams making it through over LeightonJay Holliday. Leighton Jay needs to be a Wildcard Act - he's one of the best acts of this year's contest. Alesha and Simon need to get their eyes tested. An absolute shambolic result."

"I was on the edge of my seat between Leighton Jay and Mike for the next place in the final but I’m still happy for Mike well done Mike see you Sunday and let’s hope Leighton Jay will be a wildcard!," a third chimed in.

A fourth wrote on the social media platform: "@BGT @ITV @ITVX @WeAreSTV Leighton deserved it so much more."

"@BGT Should have been Leighton!! He had proper talent," a fifth tweeted.

Leightonjay took to Instagram to share how grateful he is for all the support.

He wrote on Instagram today: "Semi final… top 3 a moment beyond my wildest dreams.

"This moment will stay with me forever. I want to share the message to everyone that it’s okay to not be okay.

"But please always be kind to yourself & others. Don’t ever apologise for who you are. Don’t hide.

"Appreciate and celebrate your own true heart and soul. You are beautiful and appreciated. There is no life without love. Lead with love always ❤️

"To receive such support from the judges, audience and viewers makes my heart so full.

"To celebrate this journey of self discovery and self love was empowering.

"I honestly can say it’s the most beautiful I’ve ever felt in my own skin - Which at one point I thought was impossible.

"Big steps in this crazy wee journey of life.

"It was the most heartwarming feeling to feel seen, safe and supported.

"I’m so grateful for dance and how it helps me turn the most challenging times in my life into beautiful feelings and memories.

Others demanded a huge shake-up after the two new finalists were revealed.

After their vote was brought into deadlock, they weren't happy with the result and think that there should be a different way of deciding.

One said: "Simon Cowell used to have a backbone. I remember him sending his own acts home if they weren't good enough on the night. Wonder if tomorrow judges cop out."

A second fumed: "Might as well get rid of the judges at this point, what a load of s***e."

"Why don’t they just go with the public vote for top two, because judges vote is a waste of time anyway," a third chimed in.

Meanwhile other viewers threatened to 'call Ofcom' as they slammed one of the acts as 'dangerous' and accused her of being 'too sexy'.

Elsewhere in the episode it was thrown into chaos when a food fight broke out among the judges live on TV.
