We took an outdated house & turned it into a ‘dream home’ – people say it’s one of the ‘nicest’ renovations they’ve seen
A COUPLE have shared their home renovation journey, after they took an outdated home with ugly patterned carpets and turned it into their dream first home.
Phoebe and Harry shared their home renovation journey via a video posted to their TikTok channel @dailyphoebs.
The caption to their video reads: "Still lots to do but amazing what you can do in a year".
In "before" pictures of the house, the property is very old fashioned and their is a stairlift installed on the stairs.
The floor is carpeted with garish red and green patterned carpets and the furniture doesn't look like it's been replaced for decades.
In the bedroom, there are unfashionable pink floral curtains that match the bedding and a pink frilly lampshade hangs from the ceiling.

Harry and Phoebe have now completely transformed the home, and it looks unrecognisable.
The couple stripped the wallpaper, pulled up the carpets and blocked up their living room door, before creating a new entrance.
They re-wired the electrics, added fresh plaster to the walls and re-painted them.
They painted their stairs white and added wood panelling along the wall opposite the staircase.
In the bedroom, they added wood panelling to the back wall and painted it black and hung stylish string lights from the sky.
In the dining room, they replaced the stained glass doors with a modern, sliding wood panel and added a large wooden dining table and black cabinets.
In the living room, they added parquet flooring and mounted a large TV on the wall.
TikTok users raced to the video's comments section to praise Phoebe and Harry for their impressive renovation.
One user said: "This is the first home that's been my entire aesthetic. I'm obsessed."
Another user said: "This is one of the nicest home renovations I've ever seen."
A third user added: "God what is it with old people putting pub carpet in their house. You’ve truly transformed the space. Gorgeous."
