IT turns out that you can now turn your festive holiday decor into something more functional - like a disinfectant.
Aside from adding cheer, the branches of a Christmas tree can also be used to clean the house.
"You won’t believe what you can do with a Christmas tree," said Armen Adamjan (@creative_explained).
Before you toss out that tree, you'll want to listen to these tips.
Armen began by cutting off a few branches of his own tree that seemed to be the gift that kept on giving.
He chopped up the branches on his counter - in masterful fashion - before adding them to an air-tight container that he then filled up with some white vinegar.

"Close it and let it soak like that for about three weeks," he explained.
And just like that, the vinegar had indeed turned into a golden color.
Next, this cleaning connoisseur strained some of the liquid into a spray bottle.
"Pine needles are packed with anti-bacterial properties and in combination with the vinegar makes this a super awesome disinfectant," he beamed.
And his two-ingredient spray had another perk as well.
"Use it to clean anything in your house while leaving a pleasant scent."
Armen, now armed with his powerful - and great-smelling - cleaning potion, scrubbed all the surfaces in his home.
And he was already finding fans of his post-holiday hack.
"So, a super cheap PineSol, and without all those extra chemicals? Awesome idea! thanks for sharing!" said this enthused follower.
"That’s the power of pine tree baby," another viewer exclaimed.
The mix was safe and effective on everything from mirrors to toilets, plus countertops - that he just had to take a whiff of - and even floors.
Another follower could only joke about why she wouldn't be able to make her own cleaning mix.
"But my Christmas tree is plastic," she said.
According to thisoldhouse.com, there are also ways to recycle your tree.

These methods include making mold-free mulch from fast drying pine needles and creating a bird sanctuary from the boughs by placing your tree in its stand outdoors.
Again, probably no plastic trees will do for these tricks.
