I see a super common mistake as a pro organizer – you’re missing out on storage space, plus an Amazon closet tool I love
A TIDY, clutter-free home could be yours if you follow the impeccable tips of one pro organizer.
But first, she warned, you must avoid a common mistake she sees far too often.
Her tips were especially pertinent for anyone living in a small space, where storage is almost always an issue.
But our pro's tips could transform the tiniest of living spaces.
She has also fallen in love with an Amazon tool, that can be used throughout your home and could help with storage issues.
Elsa Elbert of Composed Living "transforms the chaos of clutter into beautifully organized spaces."
She makes it look so easy, and this is exactly her point.
An organized home creates a sense of being in control and well-being.
She is a professional organizer and takes the hard work out of reorganizing your home.
The essence of her work falls into four clear categories, and everyone can repeat it at home.
These are:
- Clear out
- Declutter
- Donate old goods
- Reorganize
In another exclusive with The U.S. Sun, Elsa and her team of organizers shared a few tricks that could transform your home.
She's back again with further tips to make greater use of restricted spaces. She started with furniture choices.
FURNITURE
Her tip might be counter-intuitive, but you have to trust the process.
"The most common mistake I see in small spaces is the use of small furniture," said Elsa.
"But if you add a bookcase or shelving that makes use of the full height of the space, you'll get so much more storage without taking up any more room.
"Find furniture that does double duty, like a storage ottoman, a pull-out sofa, or stools that can be used as a side table or a plant stand," said Elsa.

- Add a large Arched Full-Length Standing Mirror, $54.99, Amazon.
- Opt for an Armless Office Chair, $53.99, Walmart, for easy tucking.
- Pull furniture away from walls.
"I love furniture that can be easily moved around to accommodate your needs, like a nesting coffee table, modular sofa, or an expandable dining table," she added.
WASTED AREAS
So much space goes unused and it is a missed opportunity, said Elsa.
Be creative when curating a small area. Include not only floor space but vertical spaces too.
SPACE SAVERS
You may have limited space, but there are plenty of products to help make your home neater and less cluttered.
They are affordable and could be a game-changer, according to our pro.
She had a particular favorite for the kitchen, but it could be used throughout your home.
