I’m a fat bodied dancer, my plus-size PLT haul was not for short queens and the corset gaped in the boob area
A PLUS-SIZE fashionista was left fighting tears after being disappointed by every item in her latest shopping haul.
She ordered a huge selection of dresses from women’s clothing brand PrettyLittleThing.
Kenzie (@kenzie_dunn) describes herself as “your local friendly fat bodied dancer” based in Vancouver.
She took to TikTok to share a try-on haul after ordering multiple dresses from PLT in the hopes of finding something “adorable” that could be easily styled.
Ruched maxi dress
She started by trying on a brown corset-style maxi dress with a thigh-high split and ruched detail.
The dress has been reduced from $98 to $39 and is sold in sizes ranging from 12/L to 26/5X.
“I think it is adorable and I love these cut outs,” Kenzie said as she pointed at her waist. “It’s cut out all the way around.
“But it is so gappy at the boobs and even when I try to reposition the girls it is still super gappy.
“I think I can get it fixed. I don’t know, I really like it.
“I really like this one but I just need to get it fixed in the boob area.”
Geometric print dress
Kenzie changed into the brand’s black and white cowl neck bodycon dress which cost $19.
“I don’t know how I feel about this one,” she said. “I wanted to get it in a 2X but they were sold out so I got it in a 1X.
“I do love the print but it’s just this area look.”
She stretched the neckline of the dress to reveal a lot of excess material around her bust.
She said the cut of the dress fell a “little bit too low” and would expose her breasts if she didn’t get it fixed by a tailor.
“I think it’s fixable so again a really good dress,” she added.
Green ruffle dress
Kenzie looked visibly saddened as she continued the shopping haul by trying on a midaxi dress.
PLT’s olive green dress with frills costs $27 and is also sold in black and white.
“This dress is really disappointing,” Kenzie said. “It fits me in the waist but what are these straps, what is going on?
“This is an immediate no and I’m sending this one back.”
She posed from different angles as she held the straps up to show how loose they were on her shoulders.
Floral dress
Kenzie’s ditsy floral midi dress has since sold out in all sizes on the PrettyLittleThing website.
She was equally unimpressed with it as she called it a “flop” while trying to adjust how it looked on her.
“There’s so much extra in the boob area but it fits my waist and my hips perfectly,” she said.
“Shoulders keep falling and when they fall like this it's again just ridiculous.
“It’s not bad, I think I could get it hemmed. I can maybe get some alterations to it to make it fit but I don’t want to. I want to buy a dress that fits.”
Black shirt dress
The style enthusiast sighed heavily as she put on yet another unflattering dress from the fast fashion brand.
PLT’s black frill hem shirt dress cost $23 and has sold out in all sizes except those ranging from XS to M.
“This is the one I thought would fit. It is so big although I sized down because it said stretchy,” Kenzie said.
“This one is also going back, I’m really sad.”
She pulled at the dress to show how ill-fitting and oversized it looked even when she tried to button up the collar.
She collapsed into laughter without saying a word as she then tried on the brand’s oversized khaki shirt and matching trousers.
The outfit was so long that she would’ve likely fallen over if she tried to take a step.
“PrettyLittleThing is not for the short queens [crying],” she captioned the post.
Thousands of people watched the video and took to the comment section to give their opinion on the dresses.
A top commenter said PrettyLittleThing “sizes are very hit and miss” as they revealed they’ve also had disappointing purchases.

The majority of viewers said they “loved” the first dress that Kenzie tried.
Others suggested that she try styling the black shirt dress with a belt to cinch her waist.
