For anyone who has forgotten their change or lost their trolley token before the weekly shop, you known how frustrating it can be.
Having carefully planned our trip to the supermarket, it can be tempting to struggle through with a basket or abandon our groceries altogether.
However, one savvy Tiktok user has revealed a fool-proof way to get a trolley, without rooting around for spare change in your pocket or car.

Just as you would with a £1 coin, the content creator easily slipped the tag into the coin slot before unlocking her trolley at the supermarket.
It might be the time to attach one of these colourful key fobs to your car keys, especially after seeing just how useful they can be.
Even if you don’t have one lurking in a drawer, you can buy a multipack of 20 on Amazon for just £2.99 - meaning your family never has to find loose change again.
Unsurprisingly, her video has gone viral with over 12 million people watching the nifty shopping hack on the social media app.
Sadly, not everyone was impressed with this nifty shopping tip and some even questioned whether this was actually a hack.
One person pointedly wrote: “So you’ve come up with a ‘life hack’ where you’ve saved 25 cents TOTAL, since you could reuse the same coin. Congratulations.”
Another added: “Are people really so cheap that they'll carry literally ANYTHING but a quarter, which they'll get back if they return the cart???”
Thankfully, others defended the young woman and argued that the hack was about convenience rather than the money.
“It’s not that she’s worried about saving the quarter,” a third user explained, adding: “…sometimes we forget the quarter, can’t find it or just don’t have one in the moment.”
If you do find yourself without change or your trusty key fob, there are other easy ways to unlock at trolley.
Rather than riffling through your car door, you can simply use a round Yale Key and insert this into the coin slot instead.
Before you start your weekly shop though, remember to take your key out and place it somewhere secure.
Accordingly to Tiktok influencer @the_slimming_foodie, she had to retrace her steps through Aldi after her house key slid out whilst completing her weekly shop.
