My DIY mask helps your hair grow loads & fixes split ends too – just leave it on overnight for a no-stress treatment
A BEAUTY enthusiast has revealed the homemade hair treatment she uses to stimulate growth.
She mixed a selection of affordable hair oils to make a mask that transforms tresses overnight.
Dulce Candy Ruiz (@xdulcecandyx) has garnered almost 27,000 followers on TikTok, where she shares natural beauty tips.
She showed her enviably voluminous locks as she revealed the DIY hair mask that she swears by.
“This is my favorite overnight hair mask, which has been helping my hair grow tremendously over the past few years,” she said.
“We’re going to mix in two tablespoons of almond oil to mend split ends.
“Two tablespoons of grapeseed oil to increase manageability.
“Two tablespoons of olive oil to seal the moisture.
“Half a teaspoon of castor oil to promote hair growth.
“One teaspoon of jojoba oil for a healthy shine.
“Three to five drops of rosemary oil, which helps improve the circulation.
“And three to five drops of peppermint oil, which also stimulates the scalp.”
The mixture became a rich yellow color as she mixed the ingredients which are readily available in most hair shops in a bowl.
She used her hands to apply the mask from the tips of her strands to the root and then tied it up until she was ready to wash it out.
“Apply this mask by concentrating on the tips,” she said.
“You can apply more around the hairline or anywhere else where you may be experiencing some hair loss.
“You can leave it on for a few hours or even overnight.
“When it comes time to wash it out all you have to do is shampoo it out twice and then finish off with a conditioner to seal in the cuticle.”
She showed how glossy her long locks looked after finishing the haircare routine.
Over 1,000 viewers liked the video and many took to the comment section saying they were eager to try the mask for themselves.
According to Healthline, many people have claimed using castor oil helped their hair to grow faster but there isn’t any scientific evidence to support this.
