I’m a cleaning pro – 3 mistakes you’re making, number 2 means you’re ‘moving dirt around’ and the last is leaving germs
A CLEANING pro has shared the three common mistakes that many people make in their homes.
So if you’ve got guests coming over and want to ensure that your home is in tip top shape, then you’ll need to pay attention.
Charlotte, a stay-at-home mum who enjoys cleaning, de-cluttering and organising, has recently taken to social media to share the common errors that she notices people make when cleaning.
From an error that simply ‘moves dirt around’ to the mistake that leaves germs on your surfaces, if you want a home that not only sparkles, but is actually super clean too, then it’s time to take notes.
Charlotte explained: “Three cleaning mistakes you may be making.”
Not hoovering in all directions
We all know that hoovering is a bit of a chore, but according to Charlotte, if you want to ensure your floors and carpets are hoovered correctly, you need to make sure you’re hoovering in a variety of directions.

She shared her simple tip and explained: “If you only vacuum in one direction, you're not removing all of the dirt and dust.
"Some of it can hide under carpet fibers.
“Vacuuming in all directions will ensure you get every last speck of dust out of your carpet.”
Not dusting before wiping
Not only this, but if you want to make cleaning easier, you’ll need to dust beforehand.
Charlotte added: “Always ensure you pick up all of the dust before adding any products.
“So you’re not just moving the dust from side to side.”
Not allowing the product to sit on the surface
If you are someone who sprays your surfaces and wipes straight away, it’s time for a re-think.
This cleaning enthusiast advised: “Always allow the product to sit for at least five to 10 minutes to ensure the product has killed as many germs as possible.
“Always read the labels before using a product as they all have different timings.
