Antiques Roadshow viewers shocked by show’s cheeky innuendos for Christmas Special
ANTIQUES Roadshow viewers were shocked by the show's cheeky innuendos for it's Christmas Special.
Last night the BBC program had viewers genuinely taken aback, as they clutched their pearls.
Antiques Roadshow is a BBC program where people bring in their belongings to be appraised by experts, often revealing surprising and valuable insights about the items.
During last night's episode, a guest visited Uppark House in West Sussex, presenting a stunning assortment of purple amethyst jewelry for appraisal.
The antiques expert said: "We have some lovely amethyst and gold jewellery here, a beautiful bracelet, a lovely pair of earrings and, inside the box, a superb amethyst and pearl necklace. Gorgeous."
The guest said: "Well, it was my husband’s great-great-aunt Fanny who lived in Cockermouth. Born in 1850, died in 1951."

Another added: "Aunt fanny from cockermouth … you couldn’t write it."
A third penned: "Childish I know but…Aunt Fanny lived in Cockermouth…"
A fourth wrote: "‘Pearl Necklace? Aunt Fanny? Cockermouth? How many innuendos is this woman trying to fit into one sentence?"
The guest continued to explain that the Aunt received the jewellery from sisters, passed it to her mother-in-law, who then gave it to her daughters.
