Adam Barlow kidnapped as Sarah Platt betrays him in Coronation Street
SARAH Platt and Adam Barlow have been separated for several months and are trying their best to get along.
However, when the Coronation Street solicitor gets kidnapped by an unknown assailant, his estranged wife shows her true colours.
When he learned his wife had had an affair with his former business partner Damon Hay, forgiveness was not an option for Adam Barlow (played by Sam Robertson).
His stance softened when he then learned that Sarah (Tina O'Brien) was pregnant, in the hopes the child would be his.
Sadly, Sarah miscarried and, to top it all off, Adam discovered Damon had actually fathered the unborn child.
Too many obstacles were standing in Adam and Sarah's way and, in a devastating twist for the Underworld employee, he called it quits.

Despite this, in scenes due to air on ITV, Adam and Sarah try to get along as he drops her son Harry off.
Noting that she’s dressed to the nines, Adam assumes she’s got a date and quickly pretends that he’s got one too.
In the Bistro, Adam and Sarah admit that neither of them has a hot date lined up.
When Adam offers to buy her a glass of champagne, Sarah accepts and it’s clear they still fancy each other.
In later scenes, however, Adam has a panic attack and he assures Sarah that he’s feeling much better.
Sarah suggests they meet for a drink and a hopeful Adam thinks that this could be a new start for them.
In the pub, Sarah googles panic attacks and promises Adam that they’re going to tackle his anxiety together.
Outside, as Adam and Sarah part company, neither of them notices Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths) is back in the cobbles after months of absence and he's watching them from across the street.
As Adam heads for his office, a man follows him in a van.
Adam’s horrified to find himself tied up in the back of the van but will he be able to escape without being harmed?
