When does Black Friday start
Black Friday falls on November 24 this year and is traditionally the first day of the Cyber Weekend.
The day always falls after the US holiday, Thanksgiving, which is the fourth Thursday in November every year.
Although Black Friday falls on November 24, in recent years we've seen retailers kick off the month of November with early bird deals.
Already we’re seeing deals from the likes of John Lewis, Currys and AO, and there’s only going to be more bargains from more retailers as the day comes closer.
The best deals however are likely to be on Black Friday itself, then through the weekend into Cyber Monday.
When does Black Friday end
The Black Friday sale is no longer just one day, it has now become an entire weekend with bargains to be had until the end of the day on Cyber Monday.
Cyber Monday falls on November 27 this year and is always directly after Black Friday. It marks the close of the massive sale for another year.
That said, some retailers continue with the deals they launched for Black Friday into December and the run up to Christmas.
This time of year is traditionally one of the busiest shopping periods, with people rushing to stock up on Christmas presents at bargain prices.

How much electricity your washing machine uses and how much it costs to run will depend on various factors including energy efficiency, the programme you use, the size of the machine/load and how often you run it.
If you use your machine once a week it’s going to cost less than if you do a load of washing every few days.
Check the instruction manual for your model to find out how many kilowatt hours (kWh) the appliance uses then multiply this by the cost of a kWh of electricity.
Currently (November 2023) the national average cost of a kWh is 27p, but this varies depending on supplier, tariff and meter type.
