Harry & Meghan reinvented history by taking a pop at my beautiful Kate & she couldn’t say a THING, says Gary Goldsmith

PRINCE Harry and Meghan Markle reinvented history by taking a pop at Kate Middleton and she couldn't say a thing, says her uncle Gary Goldsmith.

Gary, who is the younger brother of Kate's mother, Carole, made his debut on the revived ITV reality series Celebrity Big Brother last night.

And the controversial businessman has hit out at the Sussexes over slurs on his niece and the Royal Family.

In an exclusive interview with The Sun, Gary also slammed claims against her of racism as "bull***t".

"She's beautiful on the outside, but more beautiful on the inside and really is a doting mum . . . so the way the monarchy is moving, it's family-centric," Gary said.

"That's why I got so upset with Harry and Meghan because you don't put a stick into that spoke and reinvent history.

"I've got pretty miffed when they had a pop at my beautiful niece who couldn't say anything for herself.

"I think everyone felt the same about how much did we love Harry and then throwing your family under the bus just seemed inappropriate, especially what was happening with the Queen.

"I just thought it was totally unnecessary."

Gary, 58, said he was incensed at racism claims against Kate.

In the Dutch translation of his book Endgame, writer Omid Scobie alleged that King Charles and the Princess of Wales had asked Meghan and Harry what colour son Archie's skin might be.

Gary added: "It's absolute bull***t and I didn't hide my feelings very well when I was offered the opportunity to say something, I just thought I'd say it as I saw it.

"I did think I caught the tone of nation. Kate is 100 per cent not racist, neither is Carole.

"My family is not racist and for Kate to be portrayed as that is just so far removed from the truth, it's ridiculous."

It comes as a source revealed Harry and Meghan are in Gary's "firing line" for CBB.

He has publicly spoken about his feelings towards Prince Harry and Meghan.

A source told The Sun: "Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are more than likely going to be in the firing line as Gary has made no secret about how little he likes them."

4 WIVES, TATTOOS...& LOTS OF CASH

By WILL BARKER

PRINCESS Kate's scandalous millionaire uncle has been married four times and become the family's black sheep.

Gary Goldsmith made a fortune in IT recruitment, selling his business Computer Futures for £17million in 2005.

Now he is being paid a big fee to take part in Celebrity Big Brother.

The heavily-tattooed 58-year-old pleaded guilty in 2017 after assaulting his fourth wife Julie-Ann outside their central London home.

He was handed a £5,000 fine and ordered into alcohol rehabilitation.

Prince William spent a holiday with Kate at Goldsmith's eight-acre hideaway in Ibiza, called Maison de Bang Bang, in 2006.

In a 2013 interview, Gary said: "People like to think I'm this black sheep, a bad boy.

"I'm not really. I've had my moments. I've got a good heart. I care about people."

He blasted the Duke of Sussex following the release of his autobiography Spare last year.

In October, Gary said of the book: "I'm particularly appalled by his vile confection of half-truths and complete fabrications because Kate is my adored niece."

He went on to say: "Kate is self-sufficient, resourceful and extremely capable," adding: "She is not a drama queen."

Gary also hit back at the Sussexes' six-part Netflix series in 2022.

"The whole thing just beggars belief," he told MailOnline.

"To begin with, I found myself mesmerised, but after seeing the final three episodes I now feel slightly sullied and dirty."

He continued: "They promised bombs, but it wasn't exactly the Blitz was it?

"More like a series of hissy fits and throwing toys out of the pram."

He called the pair "muppets" after their bombshell Oprah interview and said he didn't "believe a word" of the tell-all chat.

Meghan told Oprah Kate had made her cry in a row over bridesmaids dresses - not the other way around.

Gary, who previously defended his niece over the claims, once again insisted: "There is no way the Kate I know would do that.

"I just don't believe a word of it. The whole interview beggared belief.

"She didn't know the words to the national anthem? Please! Harry has been singing it since he was five.

"The Palace refused her help when her mental health was suffering? I don't buy it. Harry is patron of a mental health charity."

And he pulled the plug on a tell-all book which included details of a Royal Family feud with the Sussexes, The Express reported.

Celebrity Big Brother line-up

So who are the 13 stars expected to appear in the Celebrity Big Brother house? The Sun's Jamie Downham takes a look...

Sharon Osbourne - TV legend - who is thought to be on a megabucks deal - said she was doing the show for "a good time not a long time"

Louis Walsh - Irish boyband manager who has never knowingly backed down from a fight. Sure to be a huge presence in the house.

Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu - We know from Love Island, the Ek-ster is not above throwing about some dramatics to claw her way to the final.

Levi Roots - Reggae Reggae Sauce sauce packs a bit of a kick, but its inventor seems quite mild-mannered. Will that change under pressure?

Fern Britton - The former This Morning star called out Phillip Schofield - don't think she won't do the same to anyone who tangles with her.

Colson Smith - You'll probably know him best as Corrie's Craig Tinker - but prepare to find out he's not much like his character.

David Potts - Ibiza Weekender's breakout star is sure to bring a bit of the party isle to the house... but will people appreciate it?

Gary Goldsmith - Kate Middleton's uncle is a big signing for ITV, but very much an unknown quantity among viewers.

Marisha Wallace - Top Broadway star may fill the brief of 'American who doesn't know what they've let themselves in for'.

Nikita Kuzmin - The Strictly pro is coming onto the show fresh off the show's tour. Poor lad probably just wants a rest.

Zeze Mills - the social media star has a "no holds barred interview style" - which is just what we need in there.

Bradley Riches - The actor played sweet James McEwan in Netflix hit Heartstopper. We'll soon find out what he's really like.

Lauren Simon - She's a Real Housewives of Cheshire star and you don't get on that show by being shy and retiring.
