That’s why you shouldn’t shy away from purchasing summer dresses in winter sales

Short frocks can be paired with cosy jumpers, tights and long boots for the colder months - including a dress currently on sale at Marks & Spencer.

The Cord Animal Print Mini Shift Dress, designed by Nobody’s Child, has been slashed to £22 from £65.

Available in sizes 8 to 18, the mini dress is perfect for layering.

The fitted piece has a self-tie at the back to accentuate your silhouette, but you can size up if you fancy a looser look.

It sits at a flirty mini length and is framed by a neat scoop neckline that’s perfect for pairing with a turtle neck jumper.

“Nobody’s Child designs are cut to a form-fitting shape, so if you're looking for a more relaxed fit, we recommend choosing the next size up,” M&S bosses said.

The dress has been described as “very flattering” by existing owners - so for £43 cheaper, it might be a bargain you want to nab.

“The tie at the back adds a feature,” one shopper said. “I bought size 10 and found it roomy.

“I bought an M&S black shirt to wear underneath which only cost £15 - the shirt and dress look good together.”

Nobody’s Child is an eco-conscious fashion brand that believes style shouldn’t cost the earth.

A number of its designs are available exclusively to the M&S website, but other designs can be found at John Lewis, Next and on ASOS.

“Nobody’s Child is a responsible brand on a mission to bring beautiful fashion to every woman, everywhere without costing the Earth,” bosses at the British label said.

“Passionate about lower impact fabrics, we’ve spent the last eight years running away from materialism.

“Our unwavering commitment to sustainable fabric innovation has driven us to prioritise responsible materials alongside promoting ethical sourcing and continually improving our practices.

“Believing strongly in the power of collaboration, we work with NGOs and industry experts to share the knowledge, critical expertise and oversight needed to further our mission.
