‘Angry and disgusted’ woman rages after finding dead BUGS inside a suitcase she bought for £40 on Vinted
A WOMAN has explained how she was left "angry and disgusted" after the £40 suitcase she bought on Vinted arrived full of "dead insects".
She took to Reddit to explain her anger, while also sharing pictures of the offending item.
"I bought a suitcase for £40," she wrote in the post on Reddit's Vinted thread.
"It had dead insects on the inside - super gross!"
"Seller claims they aren't insects, but, like, I'm looking at them, and they're dead insects."
She continued to reveal that the seller had given her the chance to return the suitcase, but she would have to do so at her own expense.

"What would you do?" she asked.
"Vacuum out the dead insects, steam clean the interior, and use the suitcase?
"Or take time out of your busy (super busy) life to repackage the suitcase and mail it back to the sender?"
"I'm so angry and disgusted," she concluded.
People quickly offered her advice, with one person writing: "I would clean the suitcase and leave the seller a bad review.
"Can you attach photos to reviews? I would attach photos of the bugs if so."
"I did what you suggested," the buyer then replied.
"I wrote: 'Dead insects in suitcase. About the size of flax seeds so hard to photograph, but, still, quite gross.
"'It was too expensive for me to send back so I’ve had to clean it myself. Wish the seller had cleaned it.
"'I hope that you consider, in the future, cleaning the inside of your suitcases before shipping them to buyers.'"
The seller then replied: "I have explained to you that that’s quite impossible for the suitcase to have insects since it was stored in a storage unit with low temperature.
"Secondly you sent me a photo of some things that don’t look like insects , not in a million years and also I had no answer from you when I asked you to send me a photo of the inside again.
"That could’ve been your suitcase and you accused me for it."
The buyer then added: "Hopefully that response makes them look worse than I do in this whole messy interaction.
"(I opted against sending them another photo when they asked because, well, what's the point? I'd already sent them three!)"
"I would just raise it as a case to Vinted as not as described and pay for the return," someone else suggested.
"It's quite a lot of money and the fact they are so blazé about it would p**s me off too."
"The blazé approach combined with denial really makes me mad!" the buyer responded.

"I found a bunch of shield bugs in my luggage when I came back from Italy a few years ago, so it can happen without you knowing I guess, but they should just apologise instead if they sold it you without knowing," another commented.
"I’d clean it out and leave a review reflecting this if it was a really good deal for the suitcase though."
