Huge BBC star to host This Morning alongside Alison Hammond today – 10 years after first presenting the ITV hit
PADDY McGuinness is making his long awaited return to This Morning today to host alongside Alison Hammond.
The 50-year-old Take Me Out star last presented the show in 2011 as a guest presenter and he’s looking forward to taking the hot seat again.
Sharing a video as he made his way in today, Paddy braved the rain telling fans: “Oh my god, terrible this morning, but it will soon brighten up because I’m hosting This Morning, this morning. On my way in.”
This Morning confirmed the news by posting a picture of him and Alison and wrote: “More than a decade after he first presented our show, @mcguinness.paddy returns to the hosting seat alongside the fabulous @alisonhammond55 this Friday! ✨.”
Paddy has appeared as a guest on the show on numerous occasions in the past – and often leaves viewers in hysterics.
The gig comes after the cancellation of his other shows for the BBC including A Question Of Sport, Top Gear and I Can See Your Voice.

But Paddy had plenty to keep him busy, as earlier this year Paddy made his debut presenting on The One Show.
Paddy — who shot to fame in Max And Paddy’s Road to Nowhere with comedian pal Peter Kay — in 2004 — even popped up on BBC One’s Question Time, discussing national politics.
He has also become the new host of BBC Two’s Inside the Factory documentary series, and it also looks like there will be a second run of his Channel 4 game show Tempting Fortune.
And he’s landed his very own travelogue with the BBC.
He will go on a long adventure across Europe for the series, which will be screened on BBC One and iPlayer later in the year.
A TV insider said: “He’s had mixed fortunes recently with several of his shows getting the chop, but it looks like Paddy’s luck is changing.
"This travelogue is a bit of a departure for Paddy and the programme might see him team up with a buddy for the trip.
“Either way it’s the latest in several bits of good news for his career.”
