A NANNY has revealed a certain type of parent that she hates, and many other childcare workers have agreed with her.
The childminder revealed that she feels that parents ignore her when their at the school gates, and don't want anything to do with her.
Taking to Mumsnet, the nanny shared: "I've been a nanny for 25 years and in my experience, parents won't talk to the nannies unless they want something (i.e. "Can you be a darling and take Henrietta home from ballet" or "Could Rupert please come to you for a playdate on Thursday")."
The nanny revealed that, now she is older, some parents think that she is the parent on the children she is collecting.
"But as soon as I let them know that I'm the nanny, they don't want to know."
The nanny continued: "Obviously I'm not putting all parents into the same box (I do have a couple of very close 'Mum friends' from over the years) but that is generally my experience and the experience of all my nanny friends."

She then asked other Mumsnet users if they had had a similar experience.
The post was flooded with replies, and many people agreed with the nanny's observation.
One person said: "I'm a nanny and there are definitely parents like this
"In general, the more expensive the area is, the less friendly the parents are to the staff."
Another person said: "I work in a children's home and we are avoided like the plague.
"No one wants their kids to talk to the kids who live in the home!"
Another person said: "I've been a Nanny for almost 15 years and yes, we get substantially ignored. Mums aren't interested in forming friendships with nannies, just other Mums."
A fourth nanny responded: "When I was a nanny the only people that spoke to me at pick up was other nannies.
"In my first weeks with a family I tried to talk to the mums but it was clear they weren't interested in me."

One parent who admitted to ignoring nannies, gave her reasoning why.
She said: "They’re employed by the parents and are being paid to pick up, and pay attention to, the children, not have a chin wag with me.
"Also, they may be replaced next month and another nanny will be in their place.
