I’m a gypsy housewife, my days are filled with Red Bull, takeaways & endlessly folding my husband’s clothes & I love it

A GYPSY housewife has shared a day in her busy life after quitting her job as a social worker.

Charlotte Ann, who identifies as half gypsy and half traveller, lives a very different life compared to last year since getting hitched.

While Charlotte admits she loved her job, she had to leave it when she got married as it was part of tradition in their culture.

"In our culture, the women stay at home, the men go to work," she explained.

"It's very traditional, it's very old school."

Now Charlotte showed what she gets up to during the day with no 9-5 to keep her busy.

To get the day started, Charlotte always starts of with a fresh Red Bull from the fridge to get her fuelled for a hectic day ahead.

"Spend the day with a gypsy housewife," she said.

"Let's go, it starts with Red Bull, cause obviously I'm a gypsy."

Charlotte then grabbed their takeaway Chinese food they had the night before and put it into the bin before getting on with more house chores.

The gypsy housewife sat down in their caravan as she got on with putting her husband's laundry away.

She continued: "All I seems to do is wash and dry my husband's clothes since I got married."

I’m a ‘proper’ gypsy because I've finally moved into a caravan with boujee decor & furniture covered in plastic

Charlotte and her husband were currently on a staycation in Cornwall, and so she made her way to the pool with another Red Bull to keep her going until lunch time as she called her husband to let him know she was bored.

She decided to head out for lunch to a nearby restaurant ordering a mix of bao buns, hummus and a mocktail before her husband came home and they headed to the beach for the evening.

After, the pair headed to the arcade before getting another takeaway of fish and chips to eat in front of the TV.

The clip posted to her TikTok account @charlotteann00 has gone viral with 36k views and people took to the comments in awe of Charlotte's holiday.

Differences between a gypsy and a traveller

Typically, Gypsies is a term used to describe Romani people, who migrated to Europe from India.

Meanwhile, traveller refers to a group of people who usually have either Irish, Scottish or English heritage.

While many English gypsy girls are allowed to drink alcohol and go on holiday with their friends before they get married, many Irish traveller girls are not allowed to do this.

Generally, both gypsies and travellers will share the same morals.

One person wrote: "Arcade is my favourite."

Another commented: "Love how real you are."

"Is it sad that I wish I could be bored at a holiday park lol," penned a third.

Meanwhile a fourth said: "Still sounds fun … quality time."

"Sounds like a great day,” claimed a fifth.
