I’m a topless maid & get asked what the point of my job is – I don’t see myself as any different to a normal cleaner
A WOMAN who works as a topless maid has opened up about the "point" of her job.
Amber owns her own company - Bougie Boss Cleaning - and regularly shares updates from work on her social media pages.
In a recent video, she received a comment from someone which read: "What is the point of a topless made?
"No hate to anyone, I just don't understand why."
Amber responded in another TikTok video, as she said: "This doesn't fit for every single one of my clients, but some of them.
"So I have one of my clients, and they actually told me I cost the same amount as a regular housekeeper.

"And you're probably wondering, how is that even possible?
"This is where it kind of comes down to each case.
"So back when my cleaning company was a regular cleaning company, and I didn't do any topless house cleanings, I used to charge anywhere between 10 cents (7p) to 22 cents (17p) per square foot.
"Now, let's say we meet somewhere in the middle at 15 cents (11p) a square foot.
"I used to charge per square foot of the house, or apartment, whatever it is, even if I didn't clean the entire house, because that's just what I go based on.
"Cause every single time I go there, I'm told to clean different things.
"So for example, I have one of my clients, he has a little over 4,000 square foot house.
"Now, if I charge 15 cents per square foot, I'm looking at $600 (£474).
"I usually get booked for three hours, which comes to $600.
"So I am literally the same exact price!"
For other people, having a topless maid clean their house is more of a "novelty thing".
"There are just some people that they want their house cleaned and they want a good view," she said.
"It's almost like going to a spicy club and not getting any dances and just sitting there and watching them.
"People do that!"
"Of course the prices vary but in Massachusetts house cleaners can be pretty expensive," Amber added in the caption.
"Sometimes I'm the same cost, sometimes I'm more expensive than a 'regular cleaner'."
People were quick to comment on the video, with one writing: "600 to clean a house is wild!"
"I pay $150 for a 3-hour cleaning bimonthly and my house is 3,300 sq. ft," another wrote.
"But get your money girl !!!"
"If I ever get rich, I’m getting myself one of those," a third commented.
As another revealed: "Yeah she charges less than housekeepers in my area.
"1200 square foot homes are what she charges for a 4k sqft"
"$200 an hour is a great living. Well done! Best of luck," someone else said.
"I hide from my maid when she comes bc I feel bad watching her work & doing nothing. I can’t imagine watching!!" another admitted.
While someone else said: "Wow, this is a thing?
"I mean that’s kind of dope, but window shopping isn’t really my thing!"

In another TikTok video, Amber revealed she made $1,000 (£792) in just one day - four hours of cleaning and three hours' driving.
That means she effectively earned $142 (£112) an hour for one day's work.
