I work in one of the most dangerous places in the world but it has a shop – they’re strict about what we can buy though
A MAN who lives and works on an oil rig has revealed some of his day-to-day activities, and shared a look at the shop on board.
Mosey documents his life in one of the most dangerous jobs in the world on his TikTok page, and regularly gets questions from viewers.
One person asked if there was a shop on the vessel, to which Mosey replied with a video of himself visiting what they call the Bond.
"Don't worry, it won't take me long to get there, even if my Crocs aren't in sport mode," he joked as he slipped on the shoes.
"It's not like I've got to drive anywhere!
"Now, I'm pretty sure most rigs, oil and gas platforms, FPSOs, Jack UPS, etcetera, etcetera, will have a shop.

"But we call it the Bond."
While you can get things like "chocolates, sweets, crisps, fizzy drinks, cigarettes, toothpaste and deodorant" in the Bond, there's one thing you can't get.
"It's not got the greatest selection in the world, especially this one, because it doesn't sell Malibu!" he said.
There were chocolate bars on sale for 70p for a Twix to £1 for Fry's Chocolate Cream.
Canned drinks were 90p each, while Lynx Africa was one of the most expensive toiletries - at £4.30 for a can.
"All I'm gonna say is I'm happy I don't smoke," Mosey added, as he pointed out that a pack of 20 cigarettes would set you back £16.50.
"It's a good question," he concluded.
"Who else would have thought that you could go to the shop in the middle of the ocean?"
In the comments section, Mosey answered further questions about the Bond, adding that it's open once a night.
"What's the alcohol rules on the rigs? None at all or regulated?" one person asked.
To which he revealed that "nothing" was allowed - they have a "zero tolerance" approach to alcohol on board.
Others insisted that despite Mosey insisting that the smoking products were expensive, they are actually cheaper than in many shops.
"50g of Golden Virginia for £32.00?! Bring me some back mate!" one joked.
"Decent prices," another added.
"Cheaper than my local," a third admitted.
"North Sea oil rig got cheaper prices than my workplace vendor!" someone else said.
"I always thought you couldn't smoke on the rigs?" someone else asked.
To which another person revealed that "they have smoking rooms" on board.
"What do you actually do for work on the rig?" someone else asked.
"I’ve been thinking about looking into it as I’m almost out of high school."
With Mosey replying: "I'm a mechanical technician.
