Her videos are extremely popular with TikTok viewers and she has over 80,000 followers.

The thrifty mum is also a Sunday Times bestselling author, with her book Save Yourself Happy packed full of top tips for saving cash.

Opening her latest video, Gemma said: "Money Mum here, cut your drying time in half."

Gemma's hack involves using a small clothes airer that will fit over one of your radiators.

After attaching the airer and popping your clothes on it, you can then place a sheet over the clothes and tuck it into the airer.

This will keep the heat in and ensure that your clothes dry quicker.

The caption to Gemma's video reads: "This works amazing.

"My clothes usually take four hours to dry, but this dried them in two.

"It works because the heat stays in the sheet".

The video is sure to have left many impressed, as it has racked up an impressive 200,000 views in just a few days.

TikTok users raced to the video's comments section to praise Gemma for a savvy hack.

One user said: "Will definitely try this. thank you".

Suggesting a solution for bigger items, another user added: "You could hang bigger things on a door".

Although Gemma's tip does avoid using the tumble dryer, it does involve putting the heating on, which many people are struggling to do, as energy costs still remain high.

For a heat free alternative, you could try using a dehumidifier, which are much cheaper to use than turning the heating on and suck moisture out of the air so that clothes dry faster.
