My two-second trick will heat your home real quick and at no extra cost, my thermostat instantly goes up by 5 degrees
A HACK enthusiast has shared her quick method to heat her home that doesn't break the bank.
The best part is that the thermostat in her house instantly goes up several degrees.
Pregnant wife and student Emily (@emilyinpaschool) doesn't have time to be cold when she's constantly on the go.
She wrote in her TikTok bio that she's empowering women to "conquer it all," in and out of the house.
In a video on the platform, she shared a life hack to heat your living space quickly in the winter that anyone can do.
"Or in our case in the winter that should be spring but it’s still winter because it keeps snowing," she jokingly wrote in the video caption.
When the video began, she showed her thermostat which was measuring the room at 66 degrees.
"Tell me your apartment is cold without telling me your apartment is cold," the subtitle over it read.
Next, she walked viewers through how she uses her oven as a heating tool.
She revealed in the caption what she does just after cooking or baking to bring additional warmth into the room.
All she did in the clip was simply turn her oven off and open the door within a span of two seconds.
"Hopefully, there are no harmful side effects to doing so besides the accidental grazing of the oven door with your leg, which could result in a painful burn," she added in the caption.
At the end of the video, she once again showed the thermostat, but this time there was something different.
The temperature spiked five degrees and showed that it was now 71 degrees.
The budget-friendly tip is at no extra cost and doesn't add to your energy bills.
Several other helpful heating hacks take minimal effort.
