In his video, Julian Seagar (@julesseager) revealed that he doesn't need to turn on his heating to get his space feeling warm and cozy.

"So this is going to be a proper test of tea light heating," the TikToker explained.

He told his followers that his room was 48 degrees Fahrenheit when he got home.

"I’ve been out all day and all night having a wonderful time with my mates and I didn’t think about how cold it would be when I got back," Julian said.

He showed his audience how to convert their old drink cans into DIY heaters.

During his tutorial, Julian cut a small square from the bottom of the can and completely removed the base.

He then flipped the base and placed it on the center of a plate, before securing the can over it.

Julian highlighted the importance of placing the DIY heater on a plate for safety reasons.

"I feel perfectly safe with that being on the plate," he concluded.

"I’ve just got some new tea lights, they’re cheap as chips so let’s see what we can do," Julian said as he added them to the cans.

"Hopefully, it’ll warm up soon because it’s bloody freezing," he told his viewers.

Shortly after he set up his DIY heater, the temperature of Julian's had gone from 48 degrees Fahrenheit to 53 degrees Fahrenheit.

In a follow-up video, Julian added two more cans to his room, raising the temperature to 60 degrees Fahrenheit.

"Every time I have a beer I make a heater now, they literally take seconds to make," he said.

Julian joked that his hack almost made him think that "drinking is good for you."

One viewer suggested a small alteration to make the heat go even further.

"You want the beer cans the other way round so it doesn’t let the hot air out the top," they said.

"The heat won’t be able to escape, causing the can to get hotter and then giving off more radiant heat," the follower explained.
