The DIY guru claims her technique will reduce the loss of heat from windows by a staggering 50 percent.

In the clip, Brittany used some bubble wrap along with a spray bottle of water for the hack.

"This is going to reduce heat loss from your windows by up to 50% and what you do is you take a spray bottle with water, spray your window and you can just stick your bubble wrap right on top," she explained.

"It adds an extra layer so you're not losing heat through your windows."

You can purchase an 8m roll of bubble wrap from Sainsbury's for just £4 so you can do multiple windows.

Not only will it keep the hot air in, it should also stop condensation building up on the window glass.

She also added that you could use stick-on stained glass panelling, although it's not as effective.

For those who can feel a draft in their windows - she recommended buying draft tape that sticks onto the edges of the window.

“The next thing you want to do is check for any draft through the cracks of your windows, a lot of the time there is a tiny space or cold air coming in," she explained.

“There is a tape that you can stick to the bottom of your windows that prevents that draft from coming in. You literally just stick it to the bottom of your window panel.”

The clip posted to her TikTok account @brittany.vasseur has since gone viral with over 86k views and 4,000 likes.

People were quick to thank her for the clever heating hacks in the comments.

One person wrote: "Bubblewrap taped on the inside of my garage made a significant difference. Not pretty but effective."

Another commented: "Awesome tip as usual."

"Great ideas," penned a third.

Meanwhile a fourth said: "Thank you, awesome."
