Costa's regular hours

Normally, Costa opens between 7am and 8am and closes at around 8pm.

The coffee brand has over 2600 stores across the UK and a further 1,400 branches across the world.

The chain's special blend and their low prices have made it the nation's favourite coffee shop, according to a 2024 survey by the World Coffee Portal.

On the Friday, most branches should be open from 8am to 6pm.

While on Easter Monday, chains should open their doors from 8:30am to 5pm.

This is slightly shorter than its traditional weekday opening hours of 7am to 8pm.

To welcome the arrival of spring, the coffee chain has shaken up its menu.

Costa customers can now order the Iced Whipped Latte once again.

This time it's making a permanent comeback and can be enjoyed in caramel and white chocolate flavours.

Five ways to save money at costa

Prices start at £3.75 for the specialty iced drink -- but keep in mind that how much you spend will vary depending on store and location.

There are also plenty of returning food options, too, such as the Nacho and Chilli Cheese Toastie.

The toastie is packed with chicken and nacho cheese and is topped with jalepenos and crunchy tortilla chips, with prices starting from £5.20 if you're wanting to get your hands on one.

Costa's Egg Mayo sandwich is also once again available to buy if you're fancying a lighter bite and is available from £2.89.

Plus, the Triple Chocolate Muffin has returned as an option for chocolate-lovers - filled with a rich chocolate sauce and topped with chocolate chunks.

The muffin is priced at £2.86, but, when bought with a small or medium beverage, you only have to pay £4.99 in total.

Costa's incredible journey

Costa was established in 1971 and opened its first roastery on Fenchurch Street, in London.

Their unique coffee blend was invented by Sergio Costa, whose family had moved to England in the 1950s.

Soon, the coffee became so popular that the family opened their first store in 1981.

By 1995, they had 41 stores in the UK before opening shops across central and eastern Europe.

In 2019, the chain was acquired by The Coca Cola Company in a deal worth $4.9 billion.

As of December 2024, they are the second largest coffeehouse chain in the world after Starbucks.
