Co-op's Easter hours

Co-op's convenience stores will be open as normal across the Easter weekend.

However, larger Co-op supermarkets in England, Wales and Northern Ireland will close their doors on Easter Sunday.

All stores, including convenience and larger supermarkets, will remain open on Good Friday, Saturday April 19 and Easter Monday.

Co-op's bank and funeral home

The Co-op also operates several other services including a bank and a funeral service.

Both services generally close their doors on bank holidays, however the Co-op Funeralcare homes offer a 24 hour central care team that can be contacted by phone or their website.

Co-op's incredible journey

Co-op's roots can be traced all the way back to 1844 with the Rochdale Society of Equitable Pioneers.

Throughout the years, they have grown to become one of the UK's leading consumer co-operatives.

I've found the UK's coolest Co-op - it’s like an American petrol station, with a juicing spot & even a Pot Noodle corner

A consumer co-operative is an enterprise fully owned by its members, unlike a traditional business.

As of December 2024, the brand has its headquarters in One Angel Square in Manchester.

The building is one of the most sustainable large buildings in Europe, thanks to its bio-diesel cogeneration plant which uses rapeseed oil to provide heat and electricity.
