However during last night's episode of Celebrity Big Brother fans rushed to social media to comment on the former Love Island star's accent.

Ekin-Su was talking to Marisha Wallace after being left hurt when the US star chose her in the face-to-face nominations.

But viewers were left distracted by the sudden change, with one writing: "Why is Ekin suddenly American?"

Another said: "Ekin is doing a weird American accent."

And a third asked: "Why did Ekin-Su adopt an American accent when she was talking to Marisha?"

Ekin-Su was also nominated by Fern Britton, who told her: "I sometimes think you’re wearing a mask and I think you might absorb a lot of people’s personalities very quickly."

She and Marisha, 38, had a bust-up after the nominations and after Ekin-Su stormed off in tears the Broadway actress threatened to quit the show.

Speaking the Diary Room, Marisha said: "I can't take it anymore. I just want to go home."

Ekin-Su left her housemates stunned when she nominated Louis Walsh - despite their close friendship from the start.

As 71-year-old Louis looked on, she said: "My first nomination is going to be Louis.

I lived with Jedward and it was hell - I agree with Louis Walsh, CBB legend Nicola McLean tells our podcast

"I just feel like Louis is a bit lazy and I prefer someone who is a team player.

"I would like him to be more practical with housework in the home. That's why I want to nominate Louis."

Marisha Wallace - It's not CBB without the role of 'American who doesn't know what they've let themselves in for' and she's doing brilliantly

Nikita Kuzmin - The Strictly pro is coming onto the show fresh off the show's tour. Poor lad probably just wants a rest

Bradley Riches - The actor played kindly James McEwan in Netflix hit Heartstopper and he seems just as sweet in the house
