The money-smart guru explained that whilst many homes might have double-glazed windows, people can still find that ''so much heat escapes through drafts''.

Fortunately, however, there is a solution and not only can you order it from Amazon for as little as a fiver, but it also tackles the issue in seconds - using window draft blockers.

The Cosy Club demonstrated how they applied the budget-friendly buy on the edges of their windows to block any gaps where the cold air might sneak inside from.

“Stop drafts from ruining your winter! Energy prices are crazy, but we will keep you cosy,'' the savvy TikTok user wrote in the caption of the clip.

Since being shared on the popular platform, where the cash-savvy DIY lover has amassed close to 13k followers, the video has racked up over 300 comments.

One thanked The Cosy Club, writing: ''I need this.''

''Thanks for the tip!'' another chimed in.

There were also a few who shared their top alternatives that also won't break the bank - or whilst you're waiting for the delivery to arrive.

''Alternatively duct tape, does not look pretty but does keep the heat in,'' claimed someone.

However, not everyone was totally convinced, with dozens of sceptics sharing their thoughts on why this hack won't be as effective as you may think.

''And then you can't ventilate your room. Adjust the hinges!'' a TikTok user advised.

''Unfortunately they don’t work and come loose very easy once the condensation gets underneath the rubber!'' a fellow cleaning lover warned others.

There are also plenty of other ways you can keep cosy this winter whilst slashing the bills, including keeping the doors shut.

Chatting to Fabulous, Jess Steele, heating technology expert at BestHeating, explained: “One of the easiest ways to lose heat in your home is from leaving doors open.

“The cosy pre-heated living room is wasted and cold within a matter of minutes when the door is left open allowing all the heat to escape.

“Keeping the door shut will trap the heat in the room, maintaining its warmth for longer.”
