“Our coffee table we found in our communal bin sheds. It was gloss white so we covered it in self adhesive vinyl.
“The vinyl we used is widely available from shops as B&Q and eBay.”
Not only this, but Vicki also nabbed bargains from Facebook Marketplace too.
She continued: “The fireplace we bought cheap from Facebook Marketplace which I painted and covered in the same vinyl to match the table.
“The armchair we bought from there too for £20 and my husband reupholstered it using a green duvet cover. The duvet cover was one we had that we weren’t using.”
“My lamp and shade I spray painted gold and painted the shade green.
“Our green sofa we bought from Facebook Marketplace too for £100.
“My big mirror I painted myself, made the ornate decals using plaster of Paris and then painted.”
Thrilled with her DIY renovations, Vicki shared: “It’s saved us a lot of money doing it ourselves and if we change our colour scheme we can always change it again to match.”
Vicki shared her post just 16 hours ago, but it has clearly impressed many, as it has quickly racked up 171 likes.
'I love it'
Social media users were left stunned at Vicki’s living room overhaul and many took to the comments to express this.
Many described the space as ‘beautiful’ and ‘gorgeous’, whilst others praised Vicki for her DIY skills.
