I’m 24 but also aged six – it’s so annoying, I get asked so many questions about how it happened when I have to show ID
A WOMAN has revealed how she has only had six birthdays despite being 24 years old.
Dasia Temia, from the US, took to social media to explain the baffling phenomenon and the countless questions she has to answer.
The young woman is 24 - but has technically only had six birthdays - all because of the day she was born.
Desia revealed that she was in fact born on a leap year, on the 29 February to be exact, meaning her birthday only ever came around once every four years.
She said: "Born on a leap year, which is tomorrow.
"So let's answer some questions I get about being a leap year baby."

The brunette beauty decided to treat herself to some new make-up for the highly anticipated day and decided to do a full face of glam as she dished all on the most common questions she gets.
One question Desia is often asked is what day does she celebrate her birthday when it's not a leap year.
The young woman said she prefers to celebrate her birthday on February 28 rather than March 1.
"Mainly February 28th, because I was born in February, not March," she explained.
Desia revealed she would be turning 24 today - even though she has only had six birthdays, and people said they hated the thought of it.
"I love it, because nobody ever has my birthday," was her response.
But there are some annoyances when it comes to having a rare birthday.
Desia reveals that when she puts her birthday in online it often says she needs to select a valid date as her birthday is barely ever registered.
Why do we have a leap year?
A typical year is measured by how long it takes Earth to orbit around the Sun.
It takes exactly 365 days, 5 hours, 48 minutes and 46 seconds to orbit the sun, according to NASA.
But it's rounded down to just 365 days to make up a typical year.
Of course, those six hours don't just disappear so instead, leap years are added to account for the difference by adding an extra day once every four years.
And even if it does work - she has to input her birthday backwards - starting with the year so she can select the right day.
And when she gets ID, people often stop to ask about her birthday - even at the hospital.
She added: "Like pulling up to the hospital, they asked for my ID, they see my birthday and they're asking me so many questions about being born on leap year.
"I am about to die and you up here asking me about what it's like having this birthday."
The clip posted to her TikTok account @dasiatemia has since gone viral with over 750k views and over 120k likes.
People were quick to share their thoughts in the comments section.
One person wrote: "Awww my daughter a leap year baby .. she so happy her birthday actually come up this year."
Another commented: "As many times as people explain this to me or I read about it I still don’t understand."
"I am a leap year baby too and I love my birthday too I get two days when my real birthday doesn’t come around and I celebrate mine on the 28th too," penned a third.
Meanwhile a fourth said: "All I’m thinking about is will company’s still give u the free bday things like chipotle."
"When I was younger I use to think leap year babies didn’t age,” claimed a fifth.
