My beige Army home is full of random pipes, popcorn ceilings & caravan curtains – trolls say not to ‘moan’ as its cheap
AN ARMY wife has shared the inside of her less than appealing beige home.
Chloe Jatkinson, from the UK, took to social media revealing the things she hated in her home - but admitted it saves her a tonne of money.
While her hubby serves in the military, the couple have been given a subsidised home.
And while Chloe admits she's lucky for the housing, there are things she would love to change in the beige home.
She said: "Things in my military house that just make sense."
Chloe took a snap of the sad beige caravan style curtains that are in every single room.

"These hideous beige curtains in EVERY room, deffo need to steam them straight, such a weird material and light comes blaring through them," she said.
"A solid -20/10."
Going with the beige theme, her home was also kitted out with a beige carpet throughout as well as magnolia walls - dreamy.
Chloe added that if she had it her way she would pick a better colour, something like grey.
Another pet peeve was the boiler sticking out of the kitchen wall with no cover on it and the random pipes all over the house that had been painted white over and over again causing peeling.
"Popcorn ceilings," she added, although it was only in the kitchen and playrooms, this actually made them look worse as they 'stick out like a sore thumb.'
She also pointed out that every military home featured a built in medicine cabinet in the bathrooms as well as built in wardrobes.
Chloe explained: "Actually love these so much!
"Could deffo do with a nicer paint job but they are quite decent sized and holds a lot in.
"The only downside is that it is our only storage space."
To top it off, all of the woodwork was painted in thick gloss paint making the space look dated.
While it may not be her dream home, Chloe revealed military accommodation allowed her and her husband to save lots of many thanks to the cheap rent.
The clips posted to her TikTok account @chloejatkinson soon went viral with over XX views na dXX likes.
Plenty of fellow military wives took to the comments to complain about the decor in their homes.
But others claimed Chloe needed to stop complaining and just fix the place up.
One person wrote: "£116 a month for my army house in Wiltshire. now I'm in my 300k house, cheap rent allows you to save!!"
"Yes!! This is exactly what we’re doing! Save save save!!" replied Chloe.
Another commented: "Rather than moan about the decor, why no just redecorate and fix any problems you have??"
"They’re isn’t any point as we don’t know how long we’re going to be here! Also wasn’t moaning, we’re super lucky! It’s just a relatable video," she hit back.
"The new curtains are 10:10 compared to rose print ones we had," penned a third.
Meanwhile a fourth said: "Omg the curtains are horrible in all military houses, we have some that are older than me and have flowers all over them."
"Trust me when I say that you had a lucky escape with the curtains. ours were from the 70s. light fittings from the 80s. I would have been over the moon if I had yours lol,” claimed a fifth.
