"Staying cold and not turning the heating on as described by Dr. Michael Mosley, my body has adapted to being cold over the last two months," said Phil (@philyoungandfit).

He was incentivized to test the temperature theory for himself after Dr. Mosley, a British journalist and TV host who makes documentaries about staying young and living longer, applauded the method.

"I've not seen the full episode, but he's done something where he talks about staying cold so how, not having the heating on and being colder, could be beneficial to health," he explained.

His secret for staying young seemed to be worth it as he was willing to trade comfort for a more youthful complexion.

"I have not got central heat in my man cave where I basically spend every single day and I purposely have not put the heating on," he explained.

It wasn't always easy, but he adapted in the name of anti-aging benefits.

"And now it's December - you know I thought today that I had problems with my fingers and it's taken about two months of me really feeling the cold.

"But I think my body is fully equivatised to being cold," he said.

He couldn't believe that even in the middle of winter, he was able to adjust to the freezing conditions.

"I don't know what the temper is, I'm still in a jumper. I wake up in the morning in the house, I'm not cold.

"I'm still taking the cold showers and I'm not even wearing a coat when I go out and everyone else is wrapped up warm."

He explained how countries in Scandinavia have long been aware of the benefits of delaying putting the heating on for as long as possible.

Phil, who longer complained about the cold, couldn't agree more with the practice.

"I feel great because of it," he said.

He knew it might be controversial, but he was already gearing up to learn more about the perks of adjusting your body temperature.

"I don't know what you think about this, I'll try and read up on it more," he said.

According to the experts at Palo Alto plumbing heating and air, colder temperatures at home can help you cool down faster, leading to higher quality and longer-lasting sleep.
