That's because shoppers have been raving about the supermarket's 'Pomegranate Scented Multiwick Candle with Lid' which retails at the bargain price of just £7.

In comparison, Jo Malone's popular 'Pomegranate Noir Home Candle' costs £56, meaning customers can save themselves a whopping £49 by opting for the cheaper version.

The online product description for the £7 candle reads: "Fill your home with the wonderfully sweet aroma of pomegranate with this triple-wick candle from George Home.

"Topped with a silver-toned lid, it'll look simply elegant in any room.

"Sensual notes of exotic pomegranate and dark plum are laced with spices. Warm base notes of sweet amber, frankincense and patchouli add an elevated touch."

There's no denying that both candles are similar in appearance with their white-coloured wax, rounded glass jar and silver lids - but there is one thing worth noting.

While Jo Malone's candle claims to burn for up to 45 hours, Asda's lasts for up to 28 hours.

But considering the huge price difference, it's little surprise shoppers have flooded the review section on the Asda website with five star reviews.

"Love this candle, smells amazing also if you're a fan of the designer brand Jo Malone you will love this," wrote one.

A second penned: "Lovely smell and good price bought as a gift."

A third praised: "Long lasting candle and fragrance."

Meanwhile, a fourth noted: "Amazing - almost like the real thing and super big good value for money."

A further commented: "Gorgeous candle, great price!2

Another chimed in: "Wonderful scent. Lovely candle. Burns very well!"

And one more added: "Great value for money. I had that candle twice before and had really nice smell."

And Asda's replica isn't the only candle dupe that's been sending shoppers into meltdown in recent weeks.

Customers have also been going wild for M&S' 'Library of Scent' range, which they claim are also convincing dupes of Jo Malone candles that are just as long lasting but are £60 cheaper.
