BARGAIN hunters are racing to their nearest Asda, desperate to nab a kitchen essential set that’s scanning for just a quid at the till.

So if you’ve recently moved house or have a cutlery drawer with barely anything in it, then you’ll need to listen up.

One savvy shopper was left stunned when she got her hands on a 32 piece cutlery set that had been reduced from £15 to only £1 - yes, you heard that correctly.

Thrilled with her cheap buy, Rose Wilson took to social media to alert other shoppers.

Posting on Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, a private Facebook group with a staggering 2.4 million members, Rose shared a picture of her purchase and wrote: “Thanks to the person who posted these. Reduced to £1 in ASDA.” 

Rose later explained: “Just purchased them, they're £15 online but scanned at £1 in store.”

For just £1, this 32 piece curved cutlery set, which has eight forks, knives, spoons and teaspoons, is a real steal. 

The George Home silver cutlery is made from stainless steel and is dishwasher safe.

So if you want to give your kitchen an upgrade, and fancy saving £14 in the process, you’ll need to move quickly and head down to your local Asda as fast as you can.

Rose shared her post just a few days ago, but it has clearly impressed many, as it has quickly amassed a staggering 1,100 likes and 391 comments.

Social media users were left open-mouthed at the bargain buy and were eager to express this in the comments.

One person said: “I need.” 

Another added: “Wow.” 

A third commented: “Bargain!!” 

Meanwhile, one savvy shopper penned: “Managed to get six sets for all the family, thank you for posting!” 

At the same time, many bargain hunters tagged their friends and loved ones to alert them to the cheap buy.

One shopper tagged a Facebook user and asked: “Have a look this weekend please.” 

Another asked a friend: “Can you look for me?”
