I’m attacked by trolls for my son’s name…they say he’ll ‘have a miserable life’ but I’ll give him a nickname if he wants
A WOMAN has revealed that she gets attacked by trolls every single day as a result of her son’s name.
First time mum Abby Williams explained that she named her beautiful son Bambi Blue Williams, weeks before Molly-Mae Hague announced she’d given the same name to her newborn daughter.
The mum-of-one insisted that she chose the Italian name because of its meaning of ‘child’, rather than after the popular Disney character.
But sadly the new mum admitted that she is constantly trolled for her choice of name, with many claiming that he will be teased for his unique moniker.
Posting on social media, Abby responded to a comment from a mean troll that read ‘I mean, he’s 100% going to have a miserable life in school because of his name.”
To this, the proud mother clapped back and said: “It honestly baffles me that so many people are so bothered about my child’s name and how they think it’s going to affect him so much in the future.

“I don’t know if people are realising, but uncommon names are actually becoming very popular.
“By the time he is in school, every kid is going to have a different name.
“It’s not going to be like how it was when I was in school, when there were like 10 kids with the same name.
“I think that if a child were to bully another child, it says more about their parents, than it does about how my child is being raised and how he’s going to be.”
Abby then slammed the comment as ‘disgusting’, but revealed that she won’t let them get her down.
She continued: “And to say that my one-year-old is going to have a miserable life, I mean, that’s just disgusting isn't it?
“I never usually address these comments, because I literally get them every day.
“I’m so over it by this point. But why on earth do people like this still exist?”
Abby later wrote: “The times are changing, people need to get used to it!!
“He’s got a mama that loves him and he’s a very happy boy.”
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @abbywilliams.444, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it was shared just 21 hours ago, but has since amassed 23,400 views.
But social media users were left divided - while some rushed to the comments to support Abby and share their positive thoughts on the name, not everyone was as kind.
One person said: “I love the name Bambi, my son gets some awful comments on his name too, it’s weird how In real life no one has said anything horrible only online.”
Another added: “If people bully an innocent child because of their name, they are the ones with the problem and haven’t been raised right.”
A third commented: “Don’t know why people are being so horrible…nothing wrong with the name? Why is it anyone else’s business?”
Whilst someone else claimed: “It's a beautiful name! He'll only be miserable because of mean kids not being brought up properly. Not his name! The name isn't the issue here.”
To this, Abby replied: “Thank you! Exactly, it’s the other kids and their parents that are the problem!”
Meanwhile, another user wrote: “Am I the only one that thinks Bambi is such a cute name and see nothing wrong with it.”
However, not everyone was as positive about Abby’s choice of moniker.
One troll penned: “Obviously copying Molly-Mae. You definitely need to change that name. It's not cool. Just think when he's 30 and going for an interview.”
To this, Abby clapped back and replied: “My son was born a month before her baby.”
Meanwhile, another user claimed: “Totally agree with the bullying, there is no excuse. But unfortunately it is going to happen and it should be considered when choosing a name…like Bambi for your son…. he won’t thank you for it.”
In response, Abby confirmed: “If he doesn’t like it he can go by his middle name or a nickname.”
