I can’t afford a house so live in a shed in a pal’s field -I go to the loo in a tent but people say I’m living the dream
A WOMAN who couldn't afford to buy a house has revealed what life is like living in a shed in her friend's field.
Aubrien shared an insight into her shed home via a video posted to her TikTok channel @aubrienlp.
She often uses the account to share videos of her rural lifestyle.
Aubrien said that a company local to her built the outside of the shed for her, and revealed that she pays less than £240 a month for the shed.
She said she will have paid off the price of the shed in six years, much quicker than it would take to pay off a mortgage.
Aubrien's shed is located in a field on land owned by her friend.

It has a bedroom and a living area but there is no kitchen and bathroom inside.
Instead, Aubrien has to trek 200 feet away to a nearby yurt every time she needs to do the cooking or nip to the loo.
To heat her shed, Aubrien installed a wood burning stove, which will help to keep her warm in the long Colorado winters.
Aubrien's shed was completely bare when she bought it, and she has renovated it entirely by herself, using power tools she borrowed from a friend.
She added in insulation, tiled the floors and put walls in.
Aubrien even added a second floor to the shed, to create her "dream sleeping loft".
The video has clearly left many impressed, as it has racked up over 1.2 million views.
TikTok users raced to the video's comments section to share their thoughts on the shed home.
One user said: "Great job!"
Another user added: "Absolutely beautiful, you did great!'
A third person said: "The dream".
Living in a shed is a great way to save cash for a house, if you want to move out but don't yet have the funds to be able to afford one.
As the cost of living crisis continues to bite, more and more adults are struggling to get on the property ladder and are choosing to live in their family home for longer.
The 2021 census revealed that over half of people aged 23 and under still live with their parents.
The average price of a house in the UK was £285,000 as of March 2023, and this rises to a whopping £735,254, which is completely unaffordable for many.
Moreover, research from the Resolution Foundation found that the average first time buyer deposit tripled from 5 per cent of the property price in 1989 to 15 per cent in 2019.
This means that buyers have to save for far longer and use up a larger percentage of their earnings to get on the property ladder.
Recent research by property site Zoopla found that 42 per cent of adults under 40 who do not already own homes have given up, due to the astronomical cost of buying a property.
