On Easter Monday, both Sally, 52, and Jon were absent as they enjoyed the bank holiday.

While Sally returned on Tuesday, Jon, 53, has remained off screen with no explanation to his whereabouts.

In the past, the journalist has sometimes referenced what he is doing ahead of a break, but he hasn't gave any clues on social media this time.

However, Jon has three children with his wife Francesca, so there's a fair chance he's enjoying an extended Easter break with them.

Yesterday, Sally interviewed Education Minister Gillian Keegan about the Government's new funding for nurseries.

Until the end of March, parents were entitled to 30 hours a week of free childcare for children aged three and four.

From April, parents with children aged two are also entitled to 15 hours of free childcare a week.

While the Government says it will benefit 150,000 children, BBC Breakfast reported that people in the industry said it will still not be enough to meet demand, and there is a shortage of places.

Speaking via video link, things became tense very quickly between the women, with Sally having to interrupt on a number of occasions.

The interview left BBC Breakfast viewers divided, with some branding Sally "rude" for talking over the MP.
